KUALA LUMPUR:Apart from hoping for the safety and health of all parties, the people want politicians to stop fighting before the presentation of the 2021 Budget.

That is very important, especially at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic infection is now showing alarming figures, said Undi 18 Co-Founder Qyira Yusri.

It includes the issue of political truce, the order of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah recently and the Parliamentary session which will take place in early November.

According to Qyira, UMNO, PKR and GPS have hinted at a political ceasefire, but the people do not know their promises were made or vice versa until the Budget is tabled.

"It is a simple test to determine whether this political party is making a break or not.

"Personally, all should survive as long as the country is stable, until Malaysia has a vaccine. We must remember, the increase in cases of COVID-19 transmission in Malaysia lately. Return power to people who have lost their jobs and sources of income since this pandemic.

"For me, they need to be aware of this situation, not who is in power because many people lost their lives, jobs and lost their lives because of jobs," he said during a Google Meet conference here, on Wednesday.

She said the next parliamentary session would be a test not only to show responsibility in pandemic issues, but most importantly the cooperation of politicians.

"It cannot be accepted just like that, all government or opposition politicians have to take the whole input. This Budget is holistic and should take into account the views of all stakeholders.

"I think all party presidents need to come to the table with their mind set wanting to be important to the people," she said.
