The much-awaited Mini Cooper S Paceman was officially launched in Malaysia on May 22, 2013.
The Paceman, which was announced in early 2011, is the seventh model in the MINI family.
Mini Cooper S Paceman shares the same platform as the Countryman, measuring in at 4,115mm long.
The Cooper S Paceman is powered by a 1.6 litre twin-scroll turbo mill offering 184 hp at 5,500 rpm.
The Mini Cooper X Paceman comes with a cargo space of 330 litres, expanding to a maximum 1,080 litres with the rear seats folded.
The Paceman comes with a full range of MINI Connected features, with Radio MINI Visual Boost and a 6.5-inch LCD display as standard fitment.
"While displaying clear ties to the innovative and inimitable style of the MINI brand, the MINI Cooper S Paceman has a character of its own,"said Natasha Karim, Head of MINI at BMW Group Malaysia.
Functions in MINI Connected include Mission Control, which provides information gained from the vehicle sensors.
The MINI Cooper S Paceman is priced at RM288,888 (on-the-road, without insurance), with a MINI Tender Loving Care service package included.
The MINI Cooper S Paceman is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds with a top speed of 212 km/h.
